Walsall opticians donates more than 100 gifts to Salvation Army Christmas appeal
An opticians in Walsall helped spread festive cheer in December by donating more than 100 gifts to the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal.
The Specsavers store on Park Street, which is locally owned and run, collected donations from customers and the community throughout the month, with the team also contributing their own Secret Santa budget to the cause. In total, around 150 items were donated, helping families and children to enjoy a joyful Christmas.
"It’s so important to give back to the local community, and we’re thrilled to have played a part in supporting such a meaningful initiative," says Specsavers Walsall store director, Justine Page. "The generosity shown by our customers and team has been incredible. Together we helped make Christmas special for those who might otherwise have gone without."

The Salvation Army is a Christian church and charity dedicated to supporting some of the most vulnerable people in society. Through its annual Christmas Present Appeal, the organisation collects new, unwrapped toys and gifts to ensure children from families facing financial hardship can experience joy on Christmas morning. Donations are distributed through local schools, social services and community groups, helping bring hope and happiness during the festive season.
