Free family games afternoon brings fun and togetherness to Oldbury
Families in Oldbury are invited to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of laughter, connection and friendly competition as The Salvation Army hosts a Free Family Game Space this January.
Taking place on Saturday, January 24 from 2pm to 4pm at The Salvation Army, Merton Close, Oldbury (B68 8NG), the event is open to families of all ages and offers a relaxed space to play, unwind and spend quality time together.
The Family Game Space will feature a wide selection of classic board games, table games and group activities, encouraging families to switch off from screens and enjoy face-to-face fun. Attendees are also welcome to bring along their own favourite games to share with others, adding to the sense of community and inclusion.

Deborah Hampton, leader at The Salvation Army in Oldbury said: “This event is all about creating a welcoming space where families can laugh together, make memories and enjoy simple pleasures. With the pressures many families face, opportunities like this to relax and connect can make a real difference.”
The event is completely free and forms part of The Salvation Army’s ongoing commitment to supporting families and strengthening community bonds through inclusive, accessible activities.
