Local business funds children’s wellbeing programme at Cannock primary school
My Choice Healthcare has announced a three-year sponsorship of the YogaBugs wellbeing programme at Bridgtown Primary School in Cannock, providing children, families and staff with free access to yoga and mindfulness resources as part of YogaBugs’ national “Support Our School” campaign.
The sponsorship forms part of YogaBugs’ national “Support Our School” campaign, an initiative designed to address the growing need for accessible mental-health and wellbeing support in schools at a time of increasing demand and shrinking education budgets.
Through this partnership, children at Bridgtown Primary School will benefit from regular yoga, movement and mindfulness sessions that support emotional regulation, focus, resilience and positive mental wellbeing — both in the classroom and beyond.
Responding to a Growing Need in Schools

YogaBugs launched the “Support Our School” campaign in response to two urgent national challenges affecting primary education:
A significant rise in children experiencing anxiety, stress and emotional overwhelm
Reduced school funding, limiting access to dedicated wellbeing and mental-health programmes
The campaign enables community-minded organisations to directly support local schools, ensuring that every child — regardless of budget pressures — can access high-quality wellbeing provision.
A Community-Focused Partnership
My Choice Healthcare, which prides itself on being more than a café and care provider, views the partnership as a natural extension of its values and commitment to community wellbeing.
Bethan Evans, CEO of My Choice Healthcare, said: “We are delighted to support YogaBugs at Bridgtown Primary School. At My Choice Healthcare, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to feel happy, settled and supported — and that starts in childhood. This partnership allows us to give something meaningful back to the community where we work.”
She added: “Our hope is that this sponsorship will have a lasting, positive impact. We actively look for ways to integrate into our local communities and to be a beacon of support for children, families and schools.”
Supporting Children, Families and School Staff
The funded access provides a whole-school wellbeing solution, including:
Children’s yoga and mindfulness sessions for PE, movement breaks and classroom wellbeing
Parental access, allowing families to practise together at home
A dedicated adult wellbeing section supporting both school staff and parents
The programme is designed to reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and emotional awareness, and help children thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
