The Specsavers stores in Cannock town centre and Cannock Voyager (in Sainsbury’s), both locally owned and run, organised a “reverse advent calendar” initiative, encouraging staff to donate items throughout December. What began as a plan to collect one item per day quickly grew as more team members got involved, resulting in an incredible 400 donations, including clothes, coats, toiletries and festive food.

Jo Roberts, store manager at Specsavers Cannock Voyager, and Emma Stanford, shop floor manager at Specsavers Cannock in the town centre, delivered the items to the refuge, where they were warmly received.

"We’re so proud of our team for coming together to support such an important cause," says Specsavers Cannock and Cannock Voyager store director, Jaspreet Dhaliwal. "The Pathway Project does vital work for people in our community, and we hope these donations will make a real difference to those who need it most."

The Pathway Project provides accommodation and support for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse, helping them rebuild their lives in a safe and caring environment. The charity relies on donations to provide essentials and comfort for those in need, particularly during the winter months.
