Palletways secures top logistics and transport title at Lichfield Beacon Awards 2025
Palletways, Europe’s leading pallet freight network, has been named the winner of the Logistics & Transport Award at the 2025 Lichfield District Council Beacon Awards.
The ceremony, held at the National Memorial Arboretum, brought together standout organisations and business leaders from across the district, with winners being selected by a panel of independent judges.
Founded in Lichfield in 1994, Palletways has grown from a single-site into Europe’s largest and most trusted pallet network which has more than 140 independent members across the UK and handles close to 6 million pallets per year.
The award win comes as Palletways is preparing for its next major milestone; the development of a new state-of-the-art hub and national headquarters just a stone’s throw from its existing Fradley facility, deepening the firm’s roots in Lichfield while enhancing efficiency, sustainability and capacity across its network.

Senior leaders from across the business attended the ceremony, celebrating alongside fellow finalists from across the region. Palletways was also shortlisted for Large Company of the Year.
Rob Gittins, Managing Director at Palletways said: “We’re incredibly proud to receive this award, particularly here in Lichfield – the place where Palletways was born and the community we’ve been part of for more than 30 years.
“This recognition reflects the hard work and talent of teams across our network, whose commitment to operational excellence, innovation and customer service drives our success every day.”
He added: “With our new hub now in development, this feels like a landmark moment for the business. We’re investing not only in our network’s future, but in Lichfield’s continued growth as a centre for logistics and industry.”
