Primary school celebrates SATs success above national average
The school community at Erdington Hall Primary School, part of the Summit Learning Trust, is celebrating as the number of children meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths at the school is now higher than both the local authority and England average.
Ratified SATs tables have been published by the Department for Education which show that 62% of children meet the expected standards in these core subjects, however 63% of learners at Erdington Hall are achieving this.
Standard Assessment Tests, known as SATs, are taken by children in Year 6 at the end of Key Stage 2. These national curriculum assessments cover English grammar, punctuation and spelling, reading, and maths.
Jenni Downes, Principal at Erdington Hall Primary School said: "We are incredibly proud of our learners and the dedication they have shown. These results are a testament to the hard work of our staff members, learners, and families. As we grow to welcome more children, we remain committed to providing a supportive and inspiring environment where every learner can thrive."
