Hosted by Future Faces - the young professionals division of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) - the event brought together 66 people for an evening of festive fun, friendly competition and fundraising.

All funds raised through the event will directly support young people across the West Midlands – helping them develop and deliver their ideas for social change, access work experience opportunities, and build the confidence and skills needed to move into education, training or employment.

Since becoming a Charity Patron of GBCC’s Future Faces division in September, United By 2022 has been working closely with the organisation to raise both funds and awareness of its mission. The quiz marks the second major fundraising event delivered through the partnership, building on the success of the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (GBYPY) awards night in October, which raised £1,915.

United By 2022 also recently featured on the Future Faces podcast, where Jess McCallister, Head of Communications and Partnerships, discussed the charity’s social value initiatives and explored the issues that matter most to young people today.

Nicola Turner MBE, CEO of United By 2022 said:

“We were delighted to see such strong support at the Futures Faces quiz. The money raised will allow us to continue building on the legacy of the Games and support young people across the West Midlands to make a positive difference in their communities. We can’t wait to build on this success and work with Future Faces in the months ahead.”

Katrina Raipuri, Vice President of the Future Faces Chamber of Commerce and Charity working group lead, said:

“I’m proud to support our Patron and Charity of the Year, United by 2022. This year’s Christmas Charity Quiz was a chance for young professionals and our business community to connect, give back, and support the wellbeing of Greater Birmingham.

“United By 2022 continues to transform lives across our region, creating inclusive opportunities and strengthening the bonds that make our communities thrive. We are honoured to stand alongside them, and I encourage our members and partners to join us in raising vital funds and celebrating the true spirit of the season.”

The partnership continues to build momentum, with lots of exciting activities planned for 2026. United By 2022 has also opened 100 places for Future Faces members to join its growing Volunteers Collective, with opportunities including European Athletics Championships 2026, The Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, and UEFA Euro28.

Places remain open for individuals across the network and members are encouraged to get involved with some of the region’s biggest events and initiatives.
