Great Wyrley care home welcomes local nursery for magical breakfast with Santa
A care home in Great Wyrley extended its festive celebrations to the wider community this week by welcoming children from Puddleducks Nursery for a special Christmas breakfast.

Residents at Wyrley Rose, part of the Macc Care Group, were delighted to be joined by the young visitors for a morning filled with festive food and fun – topped off with a special visit from Santa himself.
The intergenerational celebration saw the residents and children alike dancing and singing along to Christmas classics, before Santa gave each child a gift – adding an extra touch of magic to the morning and making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Bhav Amlani, the Director at Macc Care, said: “Welcoming the children from Puddleducks Nursery was a wonderful experience for our residents and staff, and it really helped remind us of the true magic of Christmas. Spending time with the wider community is an important part of our approach to care, and intergenerational activities like this bring people together, creating shared moments that are meaningful for all generations.”
Macc Care Group operates 17 care homes across the Midlands and regularly organises community-led activities throughout the year. These initiatives are designed to strengthen local connections, boost residents’ mood and wellbeing, and create warm, inclusive environments where everyone feels valued.
