Lucky winner scoops £790 in 1st Walsall Wood Scout Group raffle
The 1st Walsall Wood Scout Group is delighted to announce the success of its recent 50/50 raffle, drawn on 6th December 2025 during the Group’s Family Christmas Party at King Street Club, Walsall Wood. The event was organised to raise essential funds for the group’s activities and outdoor adventures, helping young people develop confidence, teamwork, and practical life skills.
The raffle concluded with a prize of £790, awarded to a local resident just in time for the festive season. This timely pay out added an extra touch of joy to Christmas celebrations. The Scout Group extends its sincere gratitude to all who purchased tickets and contributed to the success of this fundraising effort, which reflects the strong community spirit that underpins the organisation’s work.
The winner expressed their delight, stating: “I couldn’t believe it when I found out I’d won! The timing was perfect, and it really made our Christmas extra special. A huge thank you to the Scouts for organising such a great raffle.”
As a 50/50 raffle, half of the proceeds went to the winner, while the remaining funds will be used to support group activities and outdoor adventures - providing enriching experiences for local youth and encouraging skills that last a lifetime.
Looking ahead, the 1st Walsall Wood Scouts are excited to announce plans for another raffle to be drawn on 29 April 2026, the date of the Group’s 60th Anniversary. The group hopes that the amount raised - and the prize for the lucky winner - will be even greater, ensuring continued support for its mission and creating more memorable experiences for young people in the community.
