Well-loved Carols and Readings told the story of the Nativity. Songs by Charlotte Davies, a music student from Stoke-on-Trent, were a joy. Margaret Outen provided accomplished organ and piano music.

The Reverend Prebendary, Michael Newman, reflected on the difficult times we live in, at home with poverty and homelessness and conflicts in the wider world. His prayers for courage and peace resonated with the congregation.

There was a time for catching up with friends and making new ones over refreshments at the end of the service. A lovely way to start the Festive Season.
