School breaks record in annual shoebox appeal
Each year, learners at Lyndon School in Solihull, part of the Summit Learning Trust, participate in the Teams4U Shoebox Appeal and this year they have collected a record amount of 238 boxes.
Teams4U is an international charity committed to supporting communities and improving lives through education, health initiatives and humanitarian aid. As part of Lyndon School’s annual Christmas Shoebox Appeal, learners fill shoeboxes with practical items and small gifts that are sent to vulnerable children around the world during the festive season.
This year, the shoeboxes will be distributed to children in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Bosnia and Romania. Teams4U works closely with local partners, including the Red Cross, to ensure the boxes reach those most in need.

Head of School, Syreeta Kapswara said: “Each year our learners put so much thought and compassion into the Christmas Shoebox Appeal. It is incredibly moving to see young people so committed to helping others. Knowing that these simple gifts will reach children who need them most reminds us what the festive season is truly about. We are proud to support Teams4U and the meaningful difference their work makes around the world.”
