Review: Cinderella at Lichfield Garrick has 'something for all'

“Don’t you just love us!?” - get used to hearing this phrase from the two ugly sisters if you’ve yet to make your annual Christmas pilgrimage to see the Lichfield Garrick Panto.

This year you’ll get double what you bargained for – as there’s not just one dame – there’s two!

Channelling the sisters, aka Aldiana and Lidleena, are Garrick’s regular dame, the brilliant Sam Rabone, and Matt Daines, who generate a barrel of laughs with their hilarious banter and array of amusing costume changes.

With a talented cast, including another Garrick panto favourite, Ben Thornton, as Buttons, pictured left, Cinderella promised that it would be a “hilarious, fun-filled, family pantomime,” and……it certainly delivers.

It has something for all ages, from a magical horse and carriage to singing, dancing, and, of course, no Garrick panto would be complete without featuring the infamous, spooky Garrick bench and a chaotic rhyming cart.

I’d highly recommend visiting this panto before its run ends on January 11, 2026.
