Community led by The Saleem Foundation donate over 250 toys to Russell's Hall Hospital
On the evening of Tuesday, December 16, community groups and local businesses led by The Saleem Foundation donated over 250 toys to the children and staff at the Children's Ward, Russell's Hall Hospital.
High Sheriff Award winner Shaz Saleem said: "Christmas is one festival that unites everyone. It’s so important we are there for one another. No one has seen tomorrow, so it's so important we create priceless memories and enjoy today. My grandad, who was a teacher, was very passionate about supporting youngsters, and it’s that legacy I wish to continue."
Alderman Steve Waltho MBE, Chairman of the Saleem Foundation, said: “We as a Foundation work very hard all year round, our aim is to unite and support the local community. We are grateful for the staff of the The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust and Dudley Group NHS Charity who work extremely hard all year around.”

Cassie Gray, Vice-chair said: "It was lovely meeting many staff members, including Julie Woolerton and Rachel Hand. We thank them for their amazing contributions."
Community heroes included Louise Westwood, Scarlett Westwood, Mel Nicholls, Russell Moreton, Joanne Hulse, Maya Garbett, Joshua Garbett, Steve Cutler, Susan Bolton, Dawn Keeley, Alderman Steve Waltho MBE, Cassie Gray, Julie Hawkes, Darcey Hawkes and Shaz Saleem were all in attendance to support this amazing cause.
