The highlight of the parties came with a surprise visit from Father Christmas and Rudolph, who delighted the children with festive fun and gifts. Adding to the excitement, stars from the Grand Theatre’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty joined the festivities. The children were thrilled to meet Debra Stephenson, who plays the Queen, and Zac Douglas, who stars as the herald.

The Mayor said: “It was wonderful to welcome so many young people into the Mayor’s Parlour and see their faces light up with joy.

"Christmas is about community, kindness, and sharing special moments, and these parties captured all of that perfectly.
