Founded in 2016, Leslie's Care Packages is an award-winning community group, recognised for its outstanding voluntary work supporting those experiencing hardship.

Since launching their Christmas Appeal on the 3rd October, Leslie’s Care Packages have been inundated with generous donations of toys, toiletries, chocolates and other items.

Vi Wood, Founder of Leslie’s Care Packages said: “The generosity of our community never fails to astound. Already, donations have brought joy and relief to families, homeless teenagers, and students across our area — showing the real difference your kindness makes.

“A special thank you goes to Stourbridge Cobbler – Riteway Shoe Repairs, who kindly acted as a drop‑off point for gift bags, making it easier for our community to give.

“Together, we’re proving that kindness really does make the season shine.

The donations have been stored and organised in Leslie’s Care Package office located near Stourbridge Town Centre.

The rent for the office space itself is provided by local businessman David Sheppard.

Commenting on Leslie’s Care Packages’ work and Christmas appeal, David Sheppard said “When you step in the office, you can hardly move for donations. It is a truly wonderous site to behold and testament to the hard work of Vi and her volunteer team.

“Leslie’s Care Packages serves the most vulnerable people and families in Stourbridge and the wider Black Country region all year round with distinction. I am proud to support this amazing organisation.

Since its founding in 2016, Leslie’s Care Packages has supported thousands of individuals experiencing homelessness, elderly neighbours in need, individuals, and families navigating financial difficulty.

The initiative has been sustained by a network of volunteers, donors, and supporters who have contributed everything from supermarket vouchers and baby items to furniture and school uniforms.
