Birmingham automation firm announces three new strategic partnerships for 2026
Birmingham automation firm adi Lean Manufacturing & Design has agreed three new strategic partnerships with Schneider Electric, Desoutter Tools and Balluff, further strengthening its offering to UK manufacturers.
Founded in 2011, adi Lean Manufacturing & Design specialises in designing and building bespoke engineering solutions. This ranges from robot cells and full assembly lines to manual workstations and trackside equipment.
The first partnership with Schneider Electric builds on a 10-year relationship and formally recognises the division as a Registered Alliance Partner system integrator within Schneider Electric’s Global Alliance Partner Programme.
Sam Curson, Business Development Manager at adi Lean Manufacturing & Design, said: “Achieving partner accreditation reflects our team’s focus on delivering tailored automation systems that cut production costs and unlock new capabilities, as well as improve product quality for our customers.
“Working even more closely with Schneider Electric enhances our technical competency with Schneider products and allows us to meet our client’s needs with more advanced technical solutions.

adi Lean Manufacturing & Design has also formed a partnership with Desoutter Tools, a global leader in assembly & drilling solutions, with a comprehensive range of industrial tools for automotive, aerospace and general industries.
Curson added: “By partnering with Desoutter Tools, we can build production cells and lines around smart, reliable assembly and drilling solutions, with ongoing service utilised to incorporate “no faults forward” manufacturing methodology ensuring manufacturers have repeatable high quality assembly solutions, designed to enhance productivity.
The third partnership sees adi Lean Manufacturing & Design join forces with Balluff. Balluff is a world leading supplier of high-quality sensor, identification and image processing solutions including network technology and software for all automation requirements.
“Our customers want automation that is lean and efficient, but also ready for the future,” continued Curson. “Working with Balluff means we can build lines that are highly connected and easy to monitor, giving customers clear information about what is happening on their factory floor.
