Tis the season - Lichfield community comes together for Christmas fun
Christmas was in full swing at a popular Lichfield housing development after a magical light switch-on and a special visit from the man in red himself.
Fun and festivities lit up Barratt Redrow Midlands’ Curborough Lakes as the team welcomed the local community for a holly-jolly day of celebrations. Guests to Watery Lane were treated to a surprise visit from Santa, who checked his list twice before handing out gifts to all those on the ‘nice’ list.
Visitors had the chance to enjoy a pop-up festive market, featuring independent businesses from Curborough Craft Centre selling unique gifts and treats, and to explore the housebuilder’s new development.
To get everyone into the Christmas spirit, guests enjoyed a festive lunch in the development’s show homes, followed by mince pies, with champagne and mulled wine for the grown-ups.

For the little ones, a face painter and entertainer kept smiles all around, while a special visit from Santa himself gave children the chance to capture magical memories.
To round off the celebrations, Santa led the development’s dazzling Christmas lights switch-on, marking the start of the festive season at Curborough Lakes.
Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director at Redrow Midlands, said: “The countdown to Christmas is officially on in Lichfield! A huge thank you to Curborough Craft Centre, Backstreet Theatre Company, Stuart Brown, Dany Robinson and the wonderful people of Lichfield for joining us to help us mark the start of the festive season."
