Hill Top’s Chitter Chatter Group continues to bring joy to members
Another brilliant time was had by all for the members of Hill Top’s Chitter Chatter Group this is a group that the prescription clerks Elaine Carter and Jude Christian started in February of this year, and it just keeps getting better.
They have had the Hawaiian afternoon in the summer, they have had a Halloween afternoon where some of the children of the staff that work at Hill Top joined in the fun too in the October school break and now it was time for the Christmas Meal which was funded by all of the raffles and tombola’s they have had through the year.
All the members really enjoy the time that they spend with the group which is held at Hill Top Medical Centre every two weeks. As the weeks have gone on the friendships that have been made are truly special as they have all come together for the same reason, to spend time with other people as social interaction really means a lot as you get older.
There are some elderly people that do not have family or friends that they see often therefore they may feel isolated and can feel real loneliness. This is something that Jude and Elaine feel very passionately about they do not want anyone to feel this way this was their sole reason for starting the group.
The group got together and enjoyed a three-course meal followed by teas and coffees at The George Pub across the road from the surgery and then a good old natter together, in a couple of weeks they are having a Christmas party together which will be held at the surgery for them all.
Dr Kalia and Dr Nagra are the partners of Hill Top Medical Centre they are proud of the change that has been made since they have taken over the surgery as it is just going from strength to strength. CQC rating as good! their google ratings just keep getting better and better, they are proud of the time that Elaine and Jude spend on the chitter chatter group and the work they put into it does not go unnoticed.
Jude and Elaine would welcome any new members to the group and at this time of year it is felt more than ever that no one should feel alone or isolated.
On behalf of all the GP’s and the staff at Hill Top they do want to take this opportunity to wish all their patients a happy and healthy new year!
