Market success for local charity
Stafford and Cannock League of Hospital Friends once again attended Penkridge Market and despite very inclement weather enjoyed a very successful day.
A team of League volunteers attend the event every two months and are very grateful for the welcome they get from market management and fellow stallholders.
Almost £250 was raised on the day and was only made possible by the very generous donations they receive from people within the Staffordshire boroughs. Even traders at the event donate gifts for sale at the market.
A giant teddy bear was at the event and visitors were given the chance to name it. The winner, to be announced in the next few days will be adopting the bear in time for Christmas!
All money raised goes towards supplying much needed equipment to local hospitals.
