The Specsavers store on the High Street, which is locally owned and run, is inviting customers to join in two festive games this season: Name the Reindeer, just £1 to enter, and an advent calendar lucky dip. For £1 a go, each advent calendar pocket reveals a punny Christmas message and a chocolate treat. If you find Santa’s face, you win a special prize!

Alongside the games, the store has a collection pot for donations, and customers can contribute in exchange for a Specs MOT, helping raise even more for The Lamp Foodbank, which supports local families in need.

‘We wanted to bring some festive cheer to our customers while supporting a cause that really matters,’ says store director, Mohit Verma. ‘Christmas is a time for giving, and our team is passionate about helping those who might be struggling. Every pound donated will make a difference, and we’re grateful to everyone who gets involved.’
