Year 6 learners enjoyed a festive adventure at Mary Arden’s Farm in Stratford-upon-Avon, immersing themselves in the sights, sounds, and traditions of A Tudor Christmas. The visit gave learners a chance to experience Tudor life firsthand, from traditional games and crafts to learning about historic celebrations.

Meanwhile, Year 1 had an amazing time at St John’s House in Warwick. The children, whose topic this half term is called Memory Box, explored Victorian school life, attending lessons, following strict rules, and even doing outdoor exercise drills. They also enjoyed playing with toys from the past as well as comparing them to modern toys, bringing their topic to life in a fun and interactive way.

The school looks forward to continuing to offer enriching trips and experiences that inspire learners and bring the curriculum to life. At Pegasus Primary School, children explore concepts of past and present as part of the history curriculum, learning about significant people, events, and societies both locally and globally. Topics range from Victorian life to Ancient Greece, the Romans, the Tudors, and the World Wars.

Mr Adam Ames, Principal at Pegasus Primary School said: “These trips give our learners the chance to engage with history in a way that is fun, interactive, and unforgettable. Experiencing life in Tudor and Victorian times helps them understand the past while developing curiosity and teamwork skills. It’s wonderful to see the children so enthusiastic and immersed in their learning.”
