Potter’s House Church, based on Clarence Street, will open its doors on Saturday 20 December from 11am to 2pm, offering children the chance to enjoy festive games, pick up a free gift and meet Santa.

The event returns following the success of the church’s first grotto last year, which attracted around 200 visitors - including one family who travelled from Leicester.

Cleveland Campbell, who oversees the church’s events team, said the team is hoping for an even bigger turnout this year.

“Last year’s response was incredible. We were really encouraged by how many people came along, and we’re excited to do it again,” he said. “The best part is seeing the community come together to make it happen.”

Volunteers will work to transform the church sanctuary into a winter-themed space for families to enjoy.

“We’re grateful for everyone who’s volunteering,” Mr Campbell added. “That’s what the Christmas season is all about.”
