Colleagues from Co-op Funeralcare Salt & Son and Co-op Funeralcare Marsh & Son presented Pink Sisters & Misters, a Stoke-on-Trent-based charity supporting people diagnosed with all types of cancer, with the donation at a special cheque ceremony.

The funds were raised during an annual charity bingo night, where colleagues from both funeral homes welcomed the local community for an evening of fun and games, all in aid of the charity.

In addition to showing off their bingo skills, guests were also invited to enter a raffle to win special prizes, with all proceeds contributing to the total amount raised.

Robert Connell, Funeral Services Manager at Co-op Funeralcare, said: “We are delighted to have raised such a large sum of money for Pink Sisters & Misters, helping the local charity continue its essential work supporting others in their time of need.

“Our work with the community goes beyond arranging funerals. We’re passionate about giving back and proud to support causes that make a real difference to local lives, just like Pink Sisters & Misters. It was a great evening coming together with the community, but what made it even more rewarding was knowing we had raised money for such a great charity.

“A big thank you to all the businesses and supporters who donated prizes and helped make the night so memorable.’’
