Yule be sorry if you miss it! Age Concern Stourbridge to host annual Christmas Fayre
Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen, the charity who helps and supports older people in the area are looking forward to hosting its annual Christmas Fayre at the end of November.

This charity, which is celebrating fifty years of existence this year, provides help, support and activities for the area’s over 50s. The charity’s ultimate aim is to ensure users are able to continue to live their lives to the full by helping them to remain active, learn new things, receive advice and support, make new friends and enjoy trips out with like minded individuals.
The Christmas celebration is being held on Saturday 29 November from 11am until 2pm
at the Elton Centre, St John’s Road, Stourbridge - located next to the town’s bus and train stations. There will be loads to see and do including Christmas fun, craft and gift stalls, tombola and raffle. Father Christmas will also be putting in an appearance to greet both young and old.
David Harbach, chair of trustees commented:
“Our Christmas Fayre is an important annual event which enables us to raise money for our worthwhile charity. Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen is funded through such activities as well as donations and bid opportunities. It is also a great opportunity to pick up gifts - many of which are produced by our own craft and art groups, view our facilities, and find out about what we have on offer.
“Why not come along, show your support for the area’s older people and check with Santa whether you’re on his naughty or nice list!”
Age Concern is a lifeline for many older people living in the areas of Stourbridge and Halesowen as we provide so much help, support and opportunities for individuals to enrich their lives. Being older is no longer the sedimentary lifestyle it used to be - today people are living longer and they want to enjoy their later years. We not only provide advice, support and assistance, we also hold many events and activities at our lovely, tailor made building.
