Spectacular Diwali Ball in Willenhall raises thousands for two local charities
A spectacular Diwali Ball held at The Willows, Wilenhall, raised over £2,000 for two local charities: Well Wishers and Sanjhi Sewa.
The event, organised by Gurcharan Bhujhangy and Nash Aujla, brought together nearly 300 people from across the Midlands last month, to celebrate the festival of lights and support vital community causes, special guests included Walsall Mayor Louise Harrison.

The celebration took place at The Willows in Willenhall and featured a diverse lineup of entertainment, including performances from:
Poppies Solo
Funki Dance and Entertainment
Bhangra Smash Up
Nesdi Jones
Shin DCS
The 3 pioneers UK
Beat Nation Entertainment

The evening was hosted by Manpreet Darroch and Navi Kaur.
The £2,057.45 raised will be split between two worthy causes:
Well Wishers Charity: Which is actively working to open a dementia cafe in one of the wards at Manor Hospital.
Sanjhi Sewa: A charity dedicated to tackling social isolation among the elderly.

"We hope this event brought together the local communities and helped people make new friendships which will help tackle loneliness, with money raised used to fund more projects in the community,” said co-organiser Mr Aujla.
Fellow organiser Mr Bhujhangy expressed gratitude for the community's support: "Thank you so much for everyone's kind donations and support," he added, "We are making a difference together.”
The organisers announced their next fundraising event: a tribute concert for Gurcharan Bhujhangy's late father, Dalbir Khanpur Bhujhangy, scheduled for March 7, 2026, at Walsall Football Club.
