Founded in 2019, Talk Club is a talking and listening community that makes it easier for men to look after their mental fitness.

Fully trained and supported Talk Club Captains lead the groups and each session begins with the simple question: ‘How are you? Out of 10?’

“There are more than 120 Talk Clubs in the UK and we’re delighted to be adding to that number with meetings planned for Dudley and Halesowen Libraries,” said librarian Claire Williams.

“Each man takes his turn to talk while everyone listens, without interrupting. What is shared stays in the circle and men can stay anonymous if they wish.”

Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs Dudley Libraries on behalf of the council.
