Toy appeal comes to Rugeley: Community invited to donate at Santa’s Grotto
The magic of Christmas is set to shine even brighter this year as the Rugeley and District Lions Club Toy Appeal celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Tomorrow (November 22), you are warmly invited to visit Santa’s Grotto at Brewery Street Shopping Centre, Rugeley and bring along a new, unwrapped toy to donate. Each gift collected will be distributed to local charities, community groups, women’s refuges, and social services—ensuring that children who might otherwise go without will experience the joy of receiving a present at Christmas.
Visitors will be greeted by Santa’s Elves and the Club’s much-loved Lion Mascot, adding festive cheer to the occasion. The Toy Appeal has become a cherished tradition in Rugeley, bringing together the community in the true spirit of giving.

“This is about putting smiles on children’s faces and reminding them they are cared for,” said Lion’s President Debra Coburn. “Every toy donated helps us spread kindness and hope during the festive season.”
The Lions Club encourages everyone to join in this milestone celebration and help make Christmas magical for those children most in need.
