New ‘Nature Nook’ sensory garden launches in Rushall to support neurodivergent community in Walsall
A new community wellbeing space, the Nature Nook, has officially launched in Rushall, offering residents a welcoming sensory garden designed to promote relaxation, connection, and positive mental health.

Nature Nook created in partnership by United Support Group CIC and Manor Farm Community Association in Rushall was developed as part of a local initiative to enhance access to outdoor wellbeing activities, the Nature Nook provides a peaceful, inclusive environment where individuals of all ages can take part in nature-based sessions, creative workshops, and social activities.
The space features sensory planting, quiet seating areas, and dedicated zones for mindful gardening, nature crafts, tabletop games, and group wellbeing sessions. Activities will run till February 2026, with the a variety of different sessions being held on a Monday and Wednesday.
“We created the Nature Nook to give the community a calm space to unwind, explore nature, and connect with others,” The Project Manager Ann Marie Frost said. “The Nature Nook offers a supportive space for one to one support and group activities to improve health and wellbeing."

In addition to the core activities, the initiative will also introduce outdoor bike sessions on Wednesdays, encouraging gentle physical activity and providing a fun, accessible way for participants to build confidence and mobility outdoors starting 10th December 2025.
The Nature Nook is open to residents across Walsall and surrounding areas, and participation is free of charge. Spaces for activities are limited to ensure a supportive and calm environment.
