Dudley cinema announces Wicked double bill
Fans of Wicked are invited to step into the magical world of Oz this November with a spectacular one night only double feature event, taking place a day before Wicked: For Good’s official release date.
On Thursday 20th November, Showcase Cinemas will host the ultimate experience by screening last year’s blockbuster smash Wicked, followed by its hotly anticipated follow-up Wicked: For Good.
More than just a cinema screening, fans are encouraged to attend in fancy dress or full cosplay, as the emerald carpet is rolled out for adoring fans of the film series.
Cinema foyers will be transformed with decor, music, cocktails, mocktails, and photo opportunities inspired by the Land of Oz, offering an immersive experience for fans of all ages.
Customers will also have the opportunity to purchase an exclusive ‘Super Ticket’, which includes admission to both films plus a limited-edition collectible popcorn bucket, drink cup, and character topper, available only while stocks last.
Screenings on the 20th begin at 5:30pm and finish at around 11:15pm, with a short interval in between.
The celebrations don’t stop there. On Friday 21st November, Wicked: For Good officially opens at Showcase Cinemas nationwide, with tickets now on sale.
Selected locations, including Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Dudley, Glasgow, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Paisley, Peterborough, Reading and Teesside, will host a special launch night of events from 6pm-9pm, featuring themed music, decor and photo opportunities.
The atmosphere will be electric for Wicked fans, making Showcase the go-to destination for this year’s most magical sequel.
Wicked and Wicked: For Good is the untold story of the witches of Oz, starring Emmy, Grammy and Tony award winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo as the defiant social outcast Elphaba, and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman gilded by privilege and ambition.
