Land Manager at Citizen Amelia McCann said: “We are pleased to be working with Keon Homes to bring 52 new affordable homes to this area of the Black Country.

“We want to make a positive difference to our customers and communities, which is why we partner with organisations like Keon Homes to build more homes for those who are on the housing waiting lists.

“Both of these sites were brownfield sites so it’s good to see work underway to help create more homes. We’re looking forward to handing over these homes to customers when they’ve been completed.”

Jim Woodsford, Pre Development and Planning Manager from Keon Homes, said: “Brownfield first is always our preferred route and it is great that we’ve been able to adopt this approach on two further developments in Sandwell, both bringing disused sites back to life in a really positive way that creates affordable housing.

“Strengthening our relationship with Citizen is equally important and collaboratively allows us to provide warm, energy efficient homes to families who need them most. With works progressing on both developments, we are looking forward to handing over the finished schemes in 2026.

“We are also ensuring that a large proportion of our supply chain is made up of local tradespeople and material suppliers, helping to create jobs and economic prosperity in the region too.”
