Racheal Echibe wins the Excellence in Care Award: Senior Carer
One of the dedicated team members from Isabellas Homes, a supported living accommodation catering to individuals who require support in Dudley has been recognised at the Care Home Awards 2025.
This award celebrates her outstanding commitment to residents, compassion, and contribution to the care sector.
Her commitment has earned the trust of families who previously lost hope — one parent recently said, “Rachel didn’t just support my son she gave me my child back.”
For one resident who expressed a lifelong dream of visiting the seaside but was too overwhelmed by travel and crowds she tailored a trip with noise-cancelling headphones, off-peak travel, and a pre-planned sensory-friendly itinerary. Rachel personally accompanied him on her day off, and for the first time in years, he felt the sea on his feet and smiled. His family were in tears.

Also designing a “family feedback loop” — a simple weekly summary system that keeps families informed and involved that has been so successful that it’s now being rolled out across other services shows that Rachel isn’t just a team member she’s the glue, the engine, and the inspiration.

The West Midlands Care Association are incredibly proud of Racheal and the positive impact she makes in the community
The Excellence in Care Awards ceremony is organised every year by WMCA who offer the crucial support Care providers require to deliver sustainable excellence within community, nursing, special needs and residential home settings.
