The convoy, aims to lift spirits, bring people together and create awareness about the importance of organ donation.

The event is dedicated to Andrew Day's late wife, Rachel, who passed away in August 2021 after battling liver disease.

Mr Day, a former truck driver, said: "We are very proud of achieving such a milestone. We began this in 2014 and only missed one year in 2020 due to Covid.

"I'm hoping there will be about 30 trucks, they will be decorated in Christmas and flashing lights, and Santa will be handing out chocolates for the children. I hope people come out and support us."

The event will take place on Saturday, December 20, and will feature around 30 trucks, all decked out in Christmas lights. The event will conclude at the DK Rugby club in Kingswinford where there will be food drinks and many surprises.

Santa Claus will be on his own truck, giving chocolates to children along the route which will begin at 5pm on Withy Road, Bilston, near the Pallant's transport yard. It will then pass through Coseley, Dudley, Russell's Hall, Kingswinford, Wall Heath

High Sheriff award winner and community leader Shaz Saleem joined the team for the first time last year and was more then happy to support this "brilliant cause" this year.

Mr Saleem, from Kingswinford, said: "We are so proud to be part of such an amazing event.

"Christmas is a lovely festival that brings everyone together, and this event achieves just that, bringing people together as one community."

In previous years, people have lined the streets in support of the convoy, with truck drivers sounding their horns and playing music during the journey.

The entire event will be live-streamed on Facebook which can viewed on facebook.com/shazsaleem001.

Rumors suggest that the Grinch may also make an appearance. For more information you can contact the team on askshaz@hotmail.co.uk.
