Secret Angels’ BIG Macmillan Coffee Afternoon & Community Fair raises over £4,000 for Cancer Support
Secret Angels WLV CIC is delighted to announce the outstanding success of their sixth annual Macmillan fundraiser ‘The BIG Macmillan Coffee & Community Fair, held on Saturday, November 8, at Dunstall Hill Community Centre. The event raised a remarkable £4,403.26 for Macmillan Cancer Support, contributing to the charity’s vital work supporting people living with cancer.
The afternoon brought together members of the community for a vibrant and fun-filled event, featuring stalls, delicious food, cakes, tea and coffee, pink tea, karak chai, bubble tea, games, lucky dip, raffle, Mendhi, face painting, and more.
The event was honoured by special guests, including Carmen Watson, Deputy Lieutenant, MP Warinder Juss, local councillors Azeem, Tahir, and Ahmed, and John Harrison, Macmillan Relationship Fundraising Manager, who hosted a dedicated stall to answer questions about Macmillan’s services and support for people affected by cancer. Their presence highlighted the community’s commitment to the cause and added a special touch to the day.
Local businesses also played a pivotal role in making the event a success, generously contributing through sponsorships, stalls, and donations. Supporting businesses included: Malik Butchers, The Entertainer, The Gift Shop, The Indian Foodiva, Adoreacake, MSH Calligraphy, Obsession Jewels, HS Fragrance, Jolly Catering, Flavours, Begums Chai, Asian Music Radio, Midland Catering, and Chai Hubb.
