Stourport rocking to Queen musical
The smash-hit We Will Rock You musical is playing in Stourport this week as the nation marks the 50th anniversary of Queen’s ground-breaking Bohemian Rhapsody.
Theatrical group Limelight has been given allowed to perform the classic West End show ahead of the general latest amateur release to celebrate the occasion.
The musical spectacular, written by Ben Elton, based on the songs of iconic rock band Queen, is an all-time favourite.
It features 24 of the band’s best-loved hits, including We Are The Champions, Radio Ga Ga, Don’t Stop Me Now, as well as Bohemian Rhapsody, and is guaranteed to blow your mind.
It tells the story of a renegade group known as the Bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought and culture in a vaguely Orwellian society.
The show opens today (November 11) and runs until Saturday (November 15) nightly at 7.30pm at the The Civic, Stourport, including a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

No stranger to Wyre Forest audiences is director and choreographer Jane Bennett, who said: “It is a sensational show, from the lighting and tech to the incredible performances, it’s going down a storm this week.
“There are still a few tickets available – so book them now, so as not to be disappointed.”
The experienced and popular cast includes Jamie Attwell as Galileo, Harriet Edwards as Scaramouche, Jade Foster as Oz, Richard Walker as Brit, Zoe Darkes as Killer Queen, Doug Forester as Kashoggi, Alex Thompson as Buddy and Kerry Wharton as Teacher.
Tickets, priced £18, are available from ticketsource.co.uk/limelight or by emailing limelight1000@outlook.com or calling 07596 589984.
