Teachers surprised students by dressing up as Tier 2 vocabulary words, sparking excitement, curiosity and conversation throughout the school. This unique approach brought words to life, making abstract concepts tangible and fun.

Throughout the day, pupils participated in a Vocabulary Hunt and a variety of interactive activities focused on word exploration and usage. These activities not only strengthened language skills but also promoted collaboration and critical thinking.

“Vocabulary is the foundation of effective communication and academic success,” said Helen Monk, English Lead at Christ Church. “By making learning enjoyable and memorable, we aim to inspire our pupils to become confident readers, writers and editors.”
