WI members keep poppy tribute alive in Trysull
Trysull and Seisdon WI members once again displayed poppies on the war memorial at Trysull church.
This is the fourth year running that Trysull and Seisdon WI have put the Remembrance Day poppy display on the war memorial at Trysull church. Our members worked hard knitting thousands of poppies in tribute to all those who gave their lives during the war. We also included some purple ones to commemorate the animals who served and died alongside the soldiers.
The poppies were washed and dried and then several members worked hard tying them onto some fresh netting. They were then secured to the memorial at Trysull. While we were busy doing this several passers-by commented on how lovely they looked. A fitting tribute to all those who gave their lives.
