West Midlands children’s charity receives over £17,000 from house builder
Taylor Wimpey West Midlands has donated over £17,000 to Acorns Children’s Hospice, a charity that provides vital care for children with life limiting and life threatening conditions across the West Midlands.

This donation follows the success of Taylor Wimpey’s annual charity golf day, which was held at Shirley Golf Club. The money, raised on the day and in the run up to the event, will support the ongoing work of Acorns Children's Hospice which provides specialist palliative care for children, and support for their families.
Tim Lightfoot, Managing Director, Matt Knight, Production Director, and Neil Milburn, Commercial Director, from Taylor Wimpey West Midlands recently visited Acorns Children’s Hospice in Selly Oak, Birmingham, to visit the hospice and meet staff.
Abi Coulson, Senior Partnership Fundraising Manager at Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: “We are incredibly thankful for the fantastic support we have received from Taylor Wimpey. Not only will this large donation help us to provide critical care for seriously ill children, it will help us build on our support for families across the region.
“Thanks to such generous support from organisations like Taylor Wimpey we are able to provide lifeline care for children and families when they need it the most.”
Tim Lightfoot, Managing Director at Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, said: “We are delighted to support Acorns Children's Hospice thanks to our annual golf day. Everyone at Acorns works tirelessly to support children and their families, often during their darkest moments. It’s really important to us that we’re able to help the Hospice continue to provide their vital services across the West Midlands.”
