After a summer to beat that of 1976, the team at Wall Heath in Bloom was kept busy with watering and deadheading the multitude of planters in the village.

A new watering team was recruited and a magnificent job done.

Despite the heat, with the help of Virgin Media, work was undertaken at Church of the Ascension to improve their entrance planting.

The team also redesigned the Easter garden.

Susan Bolton Member said: "October has been a busy month and has seen not only the strip out and replant of the village planters but also the AGM where the decision was made to enter the RHS Britain in Bloom competition again in 2026.
