'I’m so proud' - Coach of Bloxwich-based boxing academy celebrates first national champion
MLSS Boxing Academy is celebrating a historic milestone as Arjun Singh becomes the club’s first-ever national champion.
This past weekend, Arjun battled his way to victory at the England Boxing National Development Championships, winning a hard-fought split decision to secure the national title.
Even more impressively, Arjun has achieved this incredible feat in just seven months of competition - claiming an astonishing three major titles in that time:
1️⃣ Midlands Box Cup Champion
2️⃣ Midlands Development Champion
3️⃣ National Development Champion
Coach Bhupinder Singh (Pops) couldn’t be prouder of his young fighter, saying: “I’m so proud of Arjun - he’s always putting the work in. This kid has a big future.”
Arjun’s rapid rise is a testament to his discipline, determination, and heart, and his success is putting Walsall firmly on the boxing map.
Looking ahead, MLSS Boxing Academy has big plans for 2026, with more exciting competitions on the horizon and a new generation of champions already in training.
