Staffordshire solicitors in support of St Giles Hospice
Law firm Rutherfords LLP is once again supporting St Giles Hospice with its annual Make Your Will Month this October, helping to raise vital funds for the much-loved Lichfield-based charity.
A supporter of the campaign since 2012, Rutherfords is again offering a free will writing service throughout October.
In return, clients are invited to make a voluntary donation to St Giles Hospice, which provides compassionate, specialist care for people living with cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure, multiple sclerosis, and other serious or terminal illnesses.
The care provided by St Giles is tailored to individual needs and offered free of charge, whether at the hospice or in a patient’s home, thanks to ongoing community support and fundraising.
Make Your Will Month offers a meaningful way for people to get their affairs in order while supporting a crucial local cause.

Rutherfords Partner, Tony Illsley, said: “I’m sure we all know someone who has been affected by cancer or other serious illnesses, and charities like St Giles Hospice offer an absolutely vital service to people and their families at the most desperate of times.
“The work they do and the support they offer is incredible and we are always keen to support them whenever we can, whether that’s by donating funds from a Christmas Jumper Day, or offering our time and expertise in return for a donation to the charity.
“Everyone should make a will, so if you haven’t sorted it yet, this is a good opportunity to get your affairs in order while supporting a worthwhile cause at the heart of our community.”
Every single donation to St Giles makes a difference. For example, £32 can help fund an hour of care on the inpatient unit, £66 can pay for a specialist nurse to visit a patient at home, £84 can pay for a bereavement support session and £768 can help fund 24 hours of end-of-life care.
