The free community event will run from 12 noon onwards and aims to bring together local residents, veterans, and former members of the Police, Fire, and Ambulance Services for a day of connection, gratitude, and support.

Organised by Dignity and Delight, the event promises a warm, welcoming atmosphere with plenty to enjoy, including:

  • Freshly cooked barbecue and refreshments

  • Snacks and drinks throughout the day

  • Access to information, guidance, and wellbeing support for veterans, emergency service personnel, and their families

Chris Taylor, organiser at Dignity and Delight, said: “This Open Day is all about community. We want to bring people together, those who have served, their families, and the wider public, to celebrate connection, share stories, and highlight the support available to our local heroes.”
