Emily Fereday wins TSF Award for Heroes

The awards were launched by High Sheriff Award winner Shaz Saleem in 2021 to recognise community ambassadors.

Emily, who wins the September award, was nominated by Tracy Turner, who said: "Emily is an amazing person, not only does she run a business, she has also been raising funds for Bleed Control Kits and distributing them in schools/colleges and other public places in the community. 

"A Bleed Control Kit is a medical bag which contains all the essentials to STOP a catastrophic bleed. No training needed, anyone from the public can use these kits. 

"Since February 2025, she has have raised enough funds to buy and deliver over 87 Bleed Control Kits."

The Award was presented by our community champion Lydia Longville from the Bonsai Black Belt Academy, Kingswinford, who said: "It's absolutely amazing hearing the lovely work done by Emily, on behalf of Bonsai Black Belt Academy we are proud to present this award to such a fantastic person!"

Shaz Saleem said: "I personally believe it's important to recognise community ambassadors who make our area better for all.

"Many congratulations to Emily Fereday!"
