The web series ‘Wheel Gone Kid’ which has had individual episodes win awards at film festivals all over the world including Hollywood, New York and Barcelona stars real life mother and son from Dudley Rita and Reece Jagpal-Mohan. The first film produced in 2021 when Reece was only six years of age has been an ongoing success. The last episode featured a cameo appearance from football manager Neil Warnock and earlier this month won an award at the prestigious Love and Hope International Film Festival in Barcelona.
Three of the episodes have been put together as one continuous trilogy film which screened for the first time this month at The Milton Keynes International Film Festival, winning the Best Director of a web series award for the film’s director Wayne Kelly.
Rita, from Dudley, who was at the award ceremony in Milton Keynes commented: "It was exciting to see three of the episodes shown together on the big screen and be so well received by the festival audience. To win an award at our first attempt was so special and we’re really proud to be part of the buzzing West Midlands film scene."
