This year's Tyre Safety Month 'Under Pressure' campaign - launched on October 1 - encourages vehicle owners to check their tyres at least once a month, and automotive students at the college will be offering the free service until Friday, October 17.

The students - who are studying for Institute of the Motor Industry qualifications in light vehicle service and repair - will check pressure, tread depth and overall condition of tyres and advise customers on any action that needs to be taken.

Checks will be carried out at the new Advanced Technology and Automotive Centre at the Wellington Road campus, in Bilston, and all work will be supervised by qualified automotive tutors and technicians.
