PC Duncan visits Pegasus Primary to teach about community roles
Early years pupils at Pegasus Primary School, part of the Summit Learning Trust, have been discovering more about the people who help us as part of this half term’s topic, ‘Me and My Community.’
Recently, the children welcomed PC Duncan, who shared insights into his role in keeping the community safe. They also met familiar faces closer to home , Mr Warren, the school caretaker, and Ms Doyle from the pastoral care team, who explained the importance of their jobs within the school.
The visits gave pupils a fun and interactive way to understand how different roles contribute to both the school and the wider community.

Pegasus Primary is a caring and friendly school and every learner is as important as the next. To put it simply, every learner matters. They believe that learners should be curious about their learning. Through their engaging curriculum, they ensure that learners develop a love of learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories.

Mr Adam Ames, Principal at Pegasus Primary School said: “It’s wonderful for our youngest children to meet the people who help keep both our school and wider community running smoothly. Visits like these make learning real and inspire children to think about the many roles they may grow into in the future.”
