Hayes Green WI enjoy craft session full of colour and creativity
This month our President, Val Lomas, set members a crafty challenge. The ladies were given bookmarks and fabric bags to decorate using fabric paint and acrylic pens. The ladies spent an enjoyable and relaxing evening chatting as they created their designs. Some examples of patterns and motifs were provided to give inspiration.
Lots of wonderful colourful bags and bookmarks were produced. Some ladies had designed their products as a gift for a family member or friend. Others had a specific use in mind for the bag, one was going to be used as a pencil case, another as a make up bag, and another member was going to make good use of her bag using it to store charging cables inside her suitcase when away travelling.
At the next meeting members will be doing Christmas food tasting to work out which of the local supermarkets are offering the best mince pies, stolen and shortbread for sale this year.
