Wolverhampton man becomes double bodybuilding champion at first attempt
I competed in my first ever bodybuilding competition, and became a double champion. First was the regionals for the class 4 natural first timers. Then the British championships.
For the last 22 years bodybuilding has been a passion of mine, with the intent of one day competing. This years finals where being held in my home city of Wolverhampton. This was my opportunity . I was determined to compete.
I found myself a coach adrien grey and we soon began training . With his guidance and my determination we were a formidable team.
Training sessions meal preps cardio workouts were relentless.
Days I felt drained had no energy but my focus never weltered. As the competition drew nearer I felt more confident as adrien and myself had left no stones unturned. When Saturday came around it was an early start, spray tans and rest. the hard work had been done.
I went on to win, which was the regional championship and gave me entry into Sundays british finals. This achievement in itself was a proud moment as I’d managed to reach a long term goal. Sunday morning came around fast, the morning of the British finals. No matter the outcome I was proud.
When the judges gave me center stage I was determined not to give it up. And that’s exactly what I did, became British champion of the class 4 naturals. Being from Bushbury and celebrating with family and home crowd this has been a dream come true, hopefully the first of many titles to come.
