The award-winning Arcadian restaurant, led by restaurateur Husban Ahmed, is proud to be supporting LoveBrum’s flagship fundraiser, Curry King of Birmingham, which returns on Thursday 12th February 2026 at The Eastside Rooms.

LoveBrum’s Curry King of Birmingham has become one of the city’s hottest charity nights, combining culinary creativity with friendly competition to raise vital funds for grassroots causes across the region. Each year, Birmingham’s business community joins forces with top chefs in a live on-stage cook-off, as celebrity judges and food lovers decide who will take home the coveted crown.

As part of this year’s build-up, Blanc NRI is giving curry fans the chance to enjoy authentic flavour while making a difference. Diners who order the restaurant’s official fundraising curry will directly support LoveBrum’s work with small, volunteer-led projects tackling hidden challenges in Birmingham’s communities

Husban Ahmed, owner of Blanc NRI, said: “National Curry Week is the perfect time to celebrate the food we love while giving something back. Curry King of Birmingham is such a great event, supporting so many good causes and underprivileged communities. We’re proud to play our part – and we can’t wait to bring some Brummie spice to the table.”

Following the sizzling success of the 2024 event, where local businesses battled it out in a glamorous black-tie showdown, next year’s Curry King promises even more flavour, friendly rivalry, and unforgettable entertainment – all in support of Birmingham’s unsung community heroes.

Blanc NRI’s involvement builds anticipation for February’s black-tie spectacle. The judging team will be headed up by our very own Yummy Brummy Glynn Purnell alongside other culinary experts and foodies including Rai Singh from Pushkar, Anita Champaneri from Delicious PR.

Guests will enjoy:

· Curry cook-off live on stage – Birmingham’s business community teaming up with top chefs to create their ultimate curry.

· Expert judging panel – celebrity guests and food lovers deciding who wears the crown… and who takes home the dreaded wooden spoon.

· Three-course banquet and live cultural entertainment celebrating the city’s diversity and culinary talent.

Last year’s winning team were Ring Of Fire, helping raise thousands for the charity!

Adam Heard, Charity Manager at LoveBrum, added: “Curry King is more than just a fun night out – it’s about celebrating our city, its people, and its passion for food. Every ticket sold helps us support grassroots projects and hidden heroes who are making Birmingham a better place to live and work.”

The 27th National Curry Week takes place from the 6th - 12th October 2025. We want you to rejoice in all things curry!
