The Cat Show Live draws cat lovers from across the globe to the Midlands
The NEC Birmingham was transformed into a feline wonderland this month, as more than 5,000 visitors came together for The Cat Show Live, one of the largest cat expos ever held in Birmingham and the only non-competitive event of its kind in the UK.
The event showcased a worldwide love for felines, attracting attendees from as far as America and Dubai. Visitors had the opportunity to meet 285 cats, from over 30 different breeds, gain insights from feline experts on topics ranging from nutrition to behaviour, shop for a diverse selection of cat-related products and learn about vital rescue initiatives.
Celebrity hosts and television vet Dr. Scott Miller took the stage alongside Marverine Cole and Kathryn Stanchyzyn, captivating audiences with informative talks that focussed on responsible cat ownership.
A highlight of the event was the launch of the “Rescue 100” initiative, aimed at addressing the ongoing rehoming crisis affecting many cats in the UK. The initiative received an overwhelming response, with applications for both cats and potential adopters flooding in shortly after the event.

Sam Marsh and Pete Banbury, Co-Founders of The Cat Show Live, expressed their excitement about the event's success, saying: "The response we received has been truly overwhelming. Our hard work doesn’t stop here; our team is now focused on rehoming 100 cats. We invite anyone considering adoption to reach out to The Cat Show Live to discover the wonderful cats from the 18 dedicated rescues that need loving homes.

"It's incredible to witness such growth in our community, and we are thrilled to bring The Cat Show Live to London in 2026."
The Cat Show Live has announced its return to Birmingham’s NEC on 12th September 2026. The show will be expanding its reach with its inaugural event in London next year, promising to unite cat lovers across the nation.
