Solihull care home officially reopened following £2.2 million renovation
Residents at a care home in Solihull have been celebrating after the facility underwent a “stunning” refurbishment.
The £2.2 million transformation at Care UK’s Blossomfield Grange, on Worcester Way off Dog Kennel Lane, includes a new hair and beauty salon, lounge, bars and café.
Declaring the home open again at a special ceremony was the Mayor of Solihull Councillor Annette Mackenzie, who cut the ribbon at the home’s entrance alongside General Manager, Jag Singh.
The event saw the local community join residents and their relatives for an afternoon tea garden party, alongside live entertainment from musical duo Adante.
Jag Singh, General Manager at Blossomfield Grange, said: “Our grand launch celebration to mark the completion of our refurbishment was a huge success. We have a splendid building, and it was the ultimate way to commemorate such an important milestone for Blossomfield Grange.”
The renovation includes a complete redecoration of communal areas across three floors, including new bars, lounge areas, a private dining room, therapy room and activities lounge.
The home’s internal layout has also been reconfigured to enable residents living with dementia to enjoy a safe and homely environment, while large specialist rooms have been created for residents’ wellbeing and nursing end-of-life care, which will allow families to spend time with loved ones.
Mr Singh added: “We are very fortunate and delighted with our new home, and so proud of the team who have worked wholeheartedly to create a stunning, warm and welcoming environment here for residents and families. Every element has been carefully considered to create and enhance this high-quality care facility.
"It was great to see everyone having a good time at our relaunch party. It was certainly a memorable day for everyone in attendance!"
